Colette does it again
djcolette.com
The first lady of house brought home another- her second- DanceStar Award. Last year it was for Best Break-through DJ but the competition in her category this year was even tougher. She was up for best use of music in a commercial. The nominees were (drum roll please); Moby, N.E.R.D., Dj Rap, and Weekend Players, and of course the other Motorola commercial crew Paul Van Dyk and Felix Da Housecat. Congratulations!

Cultivatelife.org WMC Review
cultivatelife.org
The hot lads from Cultivatelife.org flashed their press credentials (and a few lucky women) to breeze in and out of the best soirees Miami had to offer at this years WMC. They found the cream of the crop and did some write ups we just can't be more thrilled with. We were particularly pleased with the spot on review of the SuperJane party at Blue. Missed Miami this year? No worries the boys with wit and flare will make you feel just as if you were there.

Princess Superstar: Made
princesssuperstar.com
Our favorite Superstar, Princess Superstar, is ready to get out from in front of MTV's cameras and back behind the decks on the mic where she really rocks. The grueling process of transforming a geek to chic for MTV's reality show, "Made", has finally been made! The show airs May 26th; don't miss it. Princess Superstar's schedule resumes and though her DJ dates may be grueling, too, she is thrilled to be back doing what she loves. Also keep an eye out for her highness' next release with partner Alexander Technique as DJs Are Not Rockstars. The album is being released on Gigolo.

Electric Skychurch
skychurch.com
Electric Skychurch rocked more people than the Ultra party promoters can count! We are guess-timating 8000 or more showed up for this huge WMC event. The outdoor festival on March 6th in South Beach was the largest event of the WMC and one of the few that was open to the general public. James Lumb and Roxanne Morganstern stole the wind from the sails at the all other stages and had the crowd in near hysterics. Way to rock it Skychurch - now what is this we hear about your Moog Soundtrack release?? The world is waiting so don't keep us in suspense much longer! Official release dates and the news on which lucky label landed the project should be in by month's end. For more details and available dates, give us a shout out!

LA Carnival Release Parties
stonesthrow.com
Now-Again Records (Stones Throw's reissue subsidiary) is releasing LA
Carnival's 1970 psychedelic funk album "Pose a Question" - this is original
music from the funk movement's unsung heroes. The Los Angeles album release
event in March featured LA Carnival performing with Connie Price & the
Keystones, and DJ sets by Cut Chemist, Peanut Butter Wolf, Egon, Dante... We
want to recreate this special event in a few markets, and we're bringing our
own VERY special guest DJs.
