Dear Friends & Colleagues,

We are now entering the second round of beta testing for BeGreen! If you have not seen the BeGreen beta before please review these instructions for more background on the product. If you have seen this before and in fact participated in the first round, thanks for all your great feedback! We have implemented all of the good suggestions and dully noted the others. J Now for the real beta.

The system you were testing before was just the beginning… Not only have we corrected general bugs and errors (specifically in visual structure like fields covered by graphics, unavailable buttons, etc), we have also reworked the design and general usability by expanding the carbon calculator, opening up the page design, and adding graphics, visual effects and more.

For our frequent fliers, we have upgraded the air travel carbon calculator so you can spend less time entering data and more time traveling around the world! For all of our road warriors, we have enhanced the vehicle carbon calculator to make adding and editing cars easier. Most importantly, we have built in new features to the system such as personal profile pages and photo uploading. In the near, near future we will also have “friends”, member messaging, photo galleries and member search.

A few other new items still in the works include:

• Open API for partner websites to sell green products
• Green icons to place on your website, blog, or Myspace page to show that you are green
• The ability to offset certain regional or nationwide events
• The ability to manage and offset your business operations
• Online store for merchandise
• Plus a few other super secret surprises… 

The stakes have been raised for Round Two- this “power round” will run from Thursday, October 12 to Monday, October 16.

Therefore we would love it if you could please send your feedback as soon as possible…Friday would be great! Here’s your chance to see what we did with your feedback and let us have it (or love it). And in the spirit of Halloween, take on the look around the site for any new creepy, crawly bugs from our recent upgrades.
